Our small acreage diversified farm is named for our two Beauceron (Boh-seh-rohn) dogs. This is an ancient herding breed from France also known as Bas Rouge or 'red stockings' for the reddish fur on their feet. Wonderful companions and guardians on the farm. The image shows our dogs on one of their daily walks.
What started as a homestead is now a small acreage, diversified farm with several enterprises:
We enjoy teaching, writing and speaking about what we know. If you would like to learn more about our small farm; would like to buy native plants, native shrubs and native trees, visit us at these farmers' markets; or learn about gardening classes here.
More of our native seeds will be available in the fall 2023.
This year, we are proud to be part of the Journeyperson program through Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association (MOFGA). The program provides mentorship, technical assistance, business planning and other invaluable resources to beginning farmers in Maine.
In our second year of business, you will find our native plants for sale at the Orono (Saturdays) and Bangor Farmers Market (Sundays) from now until October!
Check our calendar for upcoming events.
