Our herbaceous plants are sold in 4.5" square, #6 round and #1 standard nursery size. Native trees and woody shrubs are sold in larger containers according to age and root requirements. At the beginning of the season, we sell a limited number of Native Plant Variety Packs for Sun and Shade in landscape plug size.
Please note, pot sizes may change without notice based on industry availability.
If a native plant, shrub or tree you are looking for is not listed, please ask. We may have it in the nursery! Perhaps it hasn't been updated on our list, it may be unavailable until later in the season or, we have it as seed available for purchase later in the fall/winter.
Our nursery is in Zone 5a in Orono, Maine. This means that our average coldest temperatures are -15 to -20 degrees in the winter.
Knowing your Plant Hardiness Zone ensures that plants or seeds you purchase will do well with your climate conditions and will successfully overwinter (perennials) in the ground.
Maine has several Plant Hardiness Zones for this reason our selection includes plants that are Zones 4-8 compatible. So, whether you are planting in Kittery or Madawaska (Maine) Bas Rouge Farm & Forge plants will grow well in your gardens from the start.
Not sure what your Plant Hardiness Zone is? See the map under the Resources tab to find your Zone.
