NEW for 2026! Join us during the spring, summer and fall for three workshops to learn about the native plants in our ecosystems and the pollinators that need them. Workshops are led by Ivonne Vazquez, Registered Maine Guide/Recreation and owner/grower at Bas Rouge Farm & Forge, a native plant nursery.

Workshop: Spring Emergence | Identifying Native Plants
Start a new season by learning how to identify native plants as they emerge from their winter slumber. We will observe the land, look at the new growth, the surrounding vegetation and soil conditions to help us understand more about the natural ecological requirements of certain species of native plants and why the right plant in the right place matters.
This is a hybrid workshop which includes time outdoors identifying emerging native plants, a slide presentation and handouts for future learning.
When: Saturday, April 25, 2026 | 1-3pm
Cost: $25 per person (registration required)
