Soil: Well drained/Sandy/Drought Tolerant
Flower: Umbel of many small flowers
Bloom time: August-September
Height: 1-2 feet
Attracts: Hummingbirds, Butterflies
Special: Larval host Grey Hairstreak, Monarch
One of the Milkweeds and the most understatedly showiest of our native plants. Traditionally used as a medicinal by indigenous people. Deer resistant.
