Learn about the art and skill of saving seeds. People all over the globe have saved seeds, from their growing spaces and trade routes, of traditional foods and medicines for many millennia.
Learn how to save seeds, develop a new skill and understanding while saving a little money for next season’s garden.
Open to all skill levels.

FALL PLANTING NATIVE PLANTS
Did you know fall is an excellent time to plant native plants?!
These hardy perennials thrive under the weather, soil and general growing conditions found within the immediate environment of our gardens and farms. Learn about the great variety of native plants, shrubs, trees that grow within our Zone 5a gardens and the importance of sowing native seeds in the fall.
A presentation and hands-on seed sowing activity to get you started with native plants.

FALL & WINTER PREP
The fall garden is a wonderful place full of promise and opportunity. As many delightful blooms of late summer fade, there is still much to do in the garden.
In this class, Ivonne Vazquez will show you techniques for putting your garden to bed. Participants will work on a hands-on activity, view a fall garden presentation and leave with a schedule of fall gardening tasks. Open to all skill levels.
